THE WAITING ROOM
So while we are waiting to see the doctor, while we are sitting in the waiting room, Sue is thumbing through some magazine. She holds up an article to me. It's about herbal hair loss treatments. Suddenly Sue is wanting to leave the doctor's office and go to the health food store, where she is sure that they have the same treatment that is mentioned in the article. I said that she can't be serious. She was. It took awhile but I talked her into staying put and seeing the doctor. He was a younger guy with, naturally, a full head of thick black hair. I don't know if that was encouraging or intimidating. Anyway, Sue was in there about an hour, and she came back with a fistful of prescriptions. The prescriptions were for tests. Sue would have to go to the hospital for one of the tests, and to a doctor's office across town for the other two tests. She will be running all around. This was not making her feel good. We decided that this could all wait until after we visit Tom and his wife at the lake. Sue called and made the appointments with the other doctor. Her doctor then called the hospital to schedule a test for her.
