THINKING SERIOUSLY
I ran across some article about Lasik cost this morning and it really got me thinking seriously about the whole idea again. I sort of forgot that was the whole reason I started working overtime and saving up all this money in the first place. My glasses are okay, but now that my interests have changed I'm starting to think they're just ultimately going to inhibit the stuff I want to do. Every now and then I'll switch to my contact lenses, but even those are starting to get in the way. Like, when I go skydiving for the first time, I want to be able to take in the entire experience without worrying about my glasses sliding off my nose or my contacts getting blurry. I usually wind up taking naps on the bus when I'm on my way to some random adventure, and I'm surprised by how many times my contacts fall out after I go to rub my eyes after just waking up. I usually don't have any solution on hand and then it starts to dry out and it's just really painful to try and put it back in. Depending on the weather, sometimes the wind is enough to dry them out. I can't be having that happen when I'm one hundred and twenty feet or whatever off the ground and jumping out of a plane and I need to see where I'm going. Anyways, I read through the article and I clearly have enough money for it right now. I'm definitely going to have that Lasik procedure done before my first jump!
