My girlfriend is always traveling for her job and I hate it.  She works for as a consultant for a number of relocation companies and so is always on the move even when she’s in the city.  Since she’s always helping some other company or business move across state lines or into another area, she sometimes has to travel along.  It’s a lot more frequent than I’d like.  I spend more nights alone than I like and too many weekends I have to go bother my friends to go get a drink or play some pool when they want to be spending time with their own girlfriends who don’t work for relocation companies.  I knew going into the relationship there’d be a lot of strain.  Bethany even told me that her last 2 boyfriends broke with her because of her schedule, but I’m not at that point.  Not yet anyway.  When she is in town and we can spend all day together, everything is right in the world.  When we’re together for a few days at a time, I start thinking about how much I want to marry her eventually.  Then she leaves again for a week or so and I wonder if things will ever change.
